4. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
The Chairman had asked the Clerk to read out the following report.: The year has been yet another busy year for our small council, with lots of items being brought to us.
Lots of work with the neighbourhood plan as well as plans coming forward for our area some which were pleasing and some that were not, some of these are still ongoing.
The site next to the hospital, vearse farm to name just some of them.
We have been busy with other areas as well including the issue at donkey lane which came back as it should of done in our favour as this has and always will be a footpath/byway.
As a council we have supported the hillbillies in their excellent work within coopers wood as they have supported the many local young people with their workshops and events,
which are now proving so popular they are over booked most of the time, well done.
Also the work that they do maintaining the area and managing the woodland for the many to enjoy,
We also maintain our own play area and the football area as best as is possible for a small council,
There will be many more challenges to come over the coming year and at this time we as a council are in a good position to move forward with these, again planning will be very much at the forefront of this work,
I have to say thank you to all of the councillors for their dedication to helping the council achieve as much as we have,
And also to our clerk AMY for keeping us on the straight and narrow and for being full of wisdom ensuring that we all do the right things for the parish.
