Given below are the minutes of the meeting of the above parish council held in the Communal Room, Cherry Tree, Bridport, on 11th April 2017. The meeting commenced at 7.30pm.

PRESENT: Cllr Lathey, Cllr Trott, Cllr Beer, Cllr Wrighton, Cllr Bowditch, Cllr Gay, Don McAllister 3 x members of the public. Mrs A Stephenson recorded the minutes

1. APOLOGIES
None

2. TO RECEIVE DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS INTERESTS
Cllr Trott & Cllr Bowditch in Item 14

3. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The Chairman asked if everyone had both received and read the minutes of the last meeting, if so, were they a true record. ALL AGREED that the minutes were a true record. The minutes were duly signed.

4. MATTERS ARISING FROM THOSE MINUTES
There were none.

5. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
None.

6. DONKEY LANE
Various letters have been received from Mr Raymond’s Solicitor and Land Registry confirming that Mr Raymond has withdrawn his application for posession fo this land due to DCC’s ruling that the land in question is a byway. However, there have already been issues with Mr Raymond causing an obstruction with his vehicles meaning that the tractors have had difficulties gaining access to their field. It has been suggested that Clerk write to Mr Raymond’s solicitor requesting that he ask his client not to obstruct this byway not that it has been regarded as such and he has dropped his case for posession.

7. FINANCE REPORT
a) Current acct: £4,697.26, savings acct: £14,598.09.
b) Annual Review of Clerk’s Salary – it was discussed and agreed to raise the Clerk’s Salary by one scale pont from 25 to 26, which will mean pay of £291 per month before deductions – so a £9 per month pay rise. Proposed by Cllr Bowditch and Seconded by Cllr Trott.
c)The following cheques were authorised by the council: Clerk’s wages (for past month) £287.80 HMRC £3.40, DCC for hedge laying £564, Magna for room rent for past year £110, Fowler for new website £100.
d) External Audit – to sign Section One only – Proposed by Cllr Bowditch and Seconded by Cllr Gay

8. PLANNING APPLICATIONS
None

9. NOTICEBOARD
No date to do this as yet – awaiting date from TMH Fencing

10. NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN
Draft Neighbourhood Plan has been received. Suggested Clerk get it photocopied for each Councillor who can then look at it individually as well as discuss in a group if required. Comments can then be given to the Clerk for submission.

11. CHERRY TREE PLAY AREA
Don was present and said that the shopping trolley has now been removed, the gate has been fixed. However the grass was mowed while there were children in there which could have been dangerous for the children. Clerk to tell Clive not to allow the children in there whilst the mowing is taking place.. Children have been seen climbing on the damaged Longhayes Avenue fence – will keep an eye on this. Lots of weeds around the swings/mats – can Clive deal with this?.

12. WOODLAND TRUST PLAY AREA REPORT
All still fine. Clerk to ask Clive for date of when replacing fence – Cllr Bowditch would like the old fence panels. One et needs replacing but Cllr Bowditch has one ready.

13. COOPERS WOOD
Coopers Circle is now in situ. Draft Risk Assessment has been prepared for people wishing to book it – Parish Council have looked over this and all is fine. Next event on hill is Wednesday – for children.
