Given below are the minutes of the meeting of the above parish council held in the Communal Room, Cherry Tree, Bridport, on 13th December 2016. The meeting commenced at 7.30pm.

PRESENT: Cllr Bowditch, Cllr Trott, Cllr Wrighton, 4 x members of the public. Mrs A Stephenson recorded the minutes

1. APOLOGIES

3. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The Chairman asked if everyone had both received and read the minutes of the last meeting, if so, were they a true record. ALL AGREED that the minutes were a true record. The minutes were duly signed.

4. MATTERS ARISING FROM THOSE MINUTES
Bridport Town Council Darryl Chambers has been out when the heavy rian flooded so has seen the issues for himself, as well as Clerk following up with an email to him for their help in areas within their boundary.

5. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
Floods in North Allington and other areas nearby. Cllr Lathey attended to help clear the water. Residents struggled to get any help from DC and WDDC. Pleaded to Bridport Town Council who sent out their Lengthsman to lift drain covers so drains coule be cleared. Videos and photos have been sent of the flooding to Bridport Town Council (as within their boundary) Have now got flood signs and some sand bags. Cathy Harvey has received emails from Bridport Town Council to say the flooding issues will be looked in to.

Had letter from Colin Clarke (Charldron Hill Research Station) regarding doing a flood risk assessment in the area in connection with Bridport Co-Housing and their associated plans.

Drain opposite Trustin Close blocked

6. DONKEY LANE
No further news to report on this at this moment in time.

7. FINANCE REPORT
a) Current acct: £9,380.98,), savings acct: £14,598.09
b)The following cheques were authorised by the council: Clerk’s wages (for past month) £272.20 HMRC £7.80, Clerk expenses oct-dec £48.48, SLCC subs £78, Dorset County Council for hedge laying (Hillbillies to pay us back minus VAT) £507.60
c) Internal Audit – received back, all fine and no problems.

8. PLANNING APPLICATIONS
WD/D/16/002423 – Waddon Barn, Dottery Road – erect mixed use industrial unit with existing gated storage compound. Remove existing metal 2.5m high security fence forming the gated storage compound. No objections

9. NOTICEBOARD
Arrived, TMH Fencing informed but unable to complete works until new year due to workload.

10. NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN
Cllr Bowditch did not go on the site visits. NO further news to report at moment.

11. CHERRY TREE PLAY AREA
No Don but there is rubbish around. Gate awaiting repair.

12. WOODLAND TRUST PLAY AREA REPORT
All fine. Badgers still in situ.

13. COOPERS WOOD
Cathy reported that all was fine. Fuel poverty scheme going ahead. Site visit Weds 21st Dec. Wood currently being stored at Elwell Farm.
