Given below are the minutes of the meeting of the above parish council held in the Communal Room, Cherry Tree, Bridport, on 9th February 2016. The meeting commenced at 7.30pm.

PRESENT: Cllr Lathey , Cllr Wrighton, Cllr Beer, Cllr Trott, 6 x members of the public. Mrs A Stephenson recorded the minutes

3. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The Chairman asked if everyone had both received and read the minutes of the last meeting, if so, were they a true record. ALL AGREED that the minutes were a true record. The minutes were duly signed.

4. MATTERS ARISING FROM THOSE MINUTES
Cllr Lathey had met with Kerrie Brook from Magna Housing Assoc. and had had a walk around Cherry Tree estate. They had agreed for various things that needed attention or following up including the light on the corner to light up the bungalows. Kerrie had sent a letter regarding the overgrown hedge, to the tenant, and will follow upo if necessary.

5. MAGNA REP PRESENT TO DISCUSS GENERAL CHERRY TREE ISSUES
Member of the public had riased the issue of flooding problems in North Allington – the drains are blocked and residents and councillor Lathey have tried to clear them but the volume of water is too much for them. Photos were shown. Cllr Lathey has a meeting with Highways to take on a tour of the various affected drains etc. He will also speak to Adrian Hutchings who farms the two fields that have water run off into North Allington.
The issue of flood signs was raised – this has been spoken about before and unfortunately there was no-one who was prepared to store them.

6. FINANCE REPORT
a) Current acct: £2,074.80, savings acct: £20,581.98.
b)The following cheques were authorised by the council: Clerk’s wages (for past month) £258.80 HMRC £9.20, C N Richards for grass cutting £422.40

7. PLANNING APPLICATIONS
WD/D/15/001019 – Pymore Mills Industrial Estate (adjoining consultation) – use site for paint spraying, preparation of fabricated metal products for painting and shot blasting of products. Construction of 2 ventilation flues in easrt elevation of the building.
Although concerns had been raised to the council by members of the public, it was felt that as this area was an industrial estate then the council had no objections.

Land Adjacent to Bridport Hospital – Going to Planning Control Committee Meeting.

8. COOPERS WOOD
Picnic table with disabled access has been ordered from Brights.
A grant from Peoples Local Postcode Lottery has been applied for. Council will support this application.
Draft Management Plan for Coopers Wood has been passed to the Parish Council for their consideration. Cathy to liaise with Clerk.
Free pack of saplings to be received from Woodland Trust.
Planned Bird Box event this weekend.
AGM will be helf on 11th March at 7.30pm at St Swithins Hall.

9. NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN
Meeting tomorrow at 11am – no more to report as yet. Will be bringing up rthe flooding at Vearse Farm – road up to farm was 3.5 foot deep.

10. CHERRY TREE PLAY AREA
Don not present but had said that logs have been piled up again against the fence on Longhayes Avenue side. Also lots of dog poo around.

11. WOODLAND TRUST PLAY AREA REPORT
Cllr Bowditch was not present but all is fine
