Given below are the minutes of the meeting of the above parish council held in the Communal Room, Cherry Tree, Bridport, on 13th December 2018. The meeting commenced at 7.30pm.

PRESENT: Cllr Lathey, Cllr Trott, Cllr Wrighton, Cllr Bowditch, Cllr Gay, Cllr Beer, 4 x members of the public. Mrs A Stephenson recorded the minutes

1. APOLOGIES
None

2. TO RECEIVE DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS INTERESTS
Cllr Bowditch and Cllr Trott in Item 12

3. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The Chairman asked if everyone had both received and read the minutes of the last meeting, if so, were they a true record.ALL AGREEDthat the minutes were a true record. The minutes were duly signed.

4. MATTERS ARISING FROM THOSE MINUTES
Grit bins received – will be placing them shortly.

5. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
Drains in upper end of NOrth Allington all blocked causing water on road, cars aquaplaning and accident caused. Also since bank cleared the road is now wider and causing traffic to go faster. Bank is starting to collapse in rain. Highways need to sort all asap. Clerk to request meeting wtih Highways on site asap with Chairman.
Ask if Neighbourhood Policing Team could attend this site to look at speeding vehicles.
Pot hole on road to Longhayes Ave (10-18 cherry tree) opening up again – already been repaired once

6. FINANCE REPORT
a) Current acct: £8,026.40, savings acct: £14,605.29 (up to date statement not yet received)
b)The following cheques were authorised by the council: Clerk’s wages (for past month) £303.36 HMRC £4.20, clerks expenses oct-dec £45.91, Kingfisher Direct for grit bins £257.98, SLCC subs £122. Viking for stationery £134.27, Wicksteed for part of playground refurb £4,865.42

7. PLANNING APPLICATIONS
None

8. NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN
Next meeting Thursday. Getting nearer final stages now.

9. GRIT BINS
To be placed soon.

10. CHERRY TREE PLAY AREA
Wicksteed have done a very good job in the refurbishment of playground.

11. WOODLAND TRUST PLAY AREA REPORT
All still fine.

12. COOPERS WOOD
Update given by Cathy. Still having problems with vandalism.
SWRAC College from Portland visits have been successful and will be putting in place regular timetable for new year.
Have applied for funding for well being area.
