Given below are the minutes of the meeting of the above parish council held in the Communal Room, Cherry Tree, Bridport, on 9th October 2018. The meeting commenced at 7.30pm.
PRESENT: Cllr Lathey, Cllr Gay, Cllr Trott, Cllr Wrighton, Cllr Bowditch, Cllr Beer, 7 x members of the public. Mrs A Stephenson recorded the minutes
1. PRESENTATION FROM WATTON VILLAGE SMART COMMUNITY SCHEME
Vince Adams and Roy Mathieson about the porposals for Watton Village Smart Community Scheme and ho it came about. They invited questions.

4. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The Chairman asked if everyone had both received and read the minutes of the last meeting, if so, were they a true record.ALL AGREEDthat the minutes were a true record. The minutes were duly signed.
5. MATTERS ARISING FROM THOSE MINUTES
None
6. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
None
7. FINANCE REPORT
a) Current acct: £8,394.23, savings acct: £14,605.29 . Money of £5,500 received in for second half of precept,
b) Donation request for Axe Valley Ring and Ride. It was Proposed by Cllr Lathey and Seconded by Cllr Bowditch to give £200.
c)The following cheques were authorised by the council: Clerk’s wages (for past month) £303.36 HMRC £4.20, reimburse Paul Bowditch £16.17, Axe Valley Ring & Ride £200
d) Quote from Wicksteed discussed for play area. It was agreed to go ahead with this.
e) Budget for 2019/2020 had been received by all councillors. It was agreed by all to accept this Budget as it stood, with a view to looking at Precept at a future meeting
8. PLANNING APPLICATIONS
None
9. NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN
Getting close to the end. However will have to delay getting it to final approval for various reasons including loss of District Council. New timeline for submission is now 25th Jan 2019
10. CHERRY TREE PLAY AREA
No Don present.
11. WOODLAND TRUST PLAY AREA REPORT
All still fine.
12. COOPERS WOOD
Update given by Cathy. Two youths have been causing problems with vandalism. Police have been notified.
Have been awarded an environmental award.
Preparations underway for WW1 event
