Given below are the minutes of the meeting of the above parish council held in the Communal Room, Cherry Tree, Bridport, on 12 December 2017. The meeting commenced at 7.30pm.

PRESENT: Cllr Lathey, Cllr Trott, Cllr Wrighton, Cllr Bowditch, 2 x members of the public. Mrs A Stephenson recorded the minutes

1. APOLOGIES

2. TO RECEIVE DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS INTERESTS
Cllr Bowditch and Cllr Trott in Item 11

3. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The Chairman asked if everyone had both received and read the minutes of the last meeting, if so, were they a true record. ALL AGREED that the minutes were a true record. The minutes were duly signed.

4. MATTERS ARISING FROM THOSE MINUTES
Symonds Estate have paid for replacement saplings which have arrived.
Wicksteed wont come out to quote for playground items – we would have to send pics of items to replace direct tot hem. Clerk to speak to Don about the swing and matting (under swings)
Cllr Wrighton met with Don McAllister and showed him where the hole in the ground was- this has now been filled in.

5. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
Dog muck in park at Cherry Tree. Don to keep an eye out.
5-a-side gate – getting nowhere with getting CVlive to sort this – Clerk to try once more as grass cutting tender is coming up for renewal.
Tree down over steps at top of new path near cottage on Allington Hill. Cathy to be informed.

6. FINANCE REPORT
a) Current acct: £9,499.15, savings acct: £14,603.
b)The following cheques were authorised by the council: Clerk’s wages (for past month) £287.60 HMRC £3.40, clerks expenses oct – dec £48.72

7. PLANNING APPLICATIONS
WD/D/17/002529 – 3 Foundry Close, West Road – erection of single storey rear extension and covered porch to the side – No objections
WD/D/17/002530 – 2 Lodge Lane – erection of single storey rear extension – No Objections
WD/D/17/002729 – Bridport Hospital – Car park improvements including a new accessible ramp and relocation and improvement of accessible parking spaces and relocation of bus stop – this was discussed and the parish council were concerned as to where the new bus stop would be relocated as it was not made clear on the plans.

8. NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN
Advertised for a new co-ordinator recently – Bob Gillis in control for the time being. Plan coming together although still some issues co-ordinating with the District Council.

9. CHERRY TREE PLAY AREA
No Don present. It was mentioned that the back part near Longhayes Avenue has lots of brambles coming through – this is the responsibility of those at Longhayes Ave.

10. WOODLAND TRUST PLAY AREA REPORT
All still fine.

11. COOPERS WOOD
Update given on behalf of Cathy who was not present. Will be planting hedge saplings this week. Two large oak trees will be planted in Nov 2018. Hillbillies have been successful in their application for a postcode lottery grant – £1500.

12. CORRESPONDENCE
Various were available to read.
