Given below are the minutes of the meeting of the above parish council held in the Communal Room, Cherry Tree, Bridport, on 10 October 2017. The meeting commenced at 7.30pm.

PRESENT: Cllr Gay, , Cllr Trott, Cllr Wrighton, Cllr Bowditch, Cathy Harvey, 3 x members of the public. Mrs A Stephenson recorded the minutes

1. APOLOGIES

2. TO RECEIVE DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS INTERESTS
Cllr Bowditch and Cllr Trott in Item 11

3. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The Chairman asked if everyone had both received and read the minutes of the last meeting, if so, were they a true record. ALL AGREED that the minutes were a true record. The minutes were duly signed.

4. MATTERS ARISING FROM THOSE MINUTES
None.

5. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
Hillbillies have received the grant from Bridport Town Council.

6. FINANCE REPORT
a) Current acct: £11,596.83, savings acct: £14,603. Second half of Precept at £5,500 has been received
b)The following cheques were authorised by the council: Clerk’s wages (for past month) £287.60 HMRC £3.40, BDO £120, Paul Bowditch reimburse mower fuel £13.65, Allington Hillbillies £250

7. PLANNING APPLICATIONS
WD/D/17/001768 – Former Bilshay Cottage – No objections

8. NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN
31st October there will be a big meeting at the Town Hall for all the parishes, steering committee and working groups. Consultation now complete – currently being compiled.

9. CHERRY TREE PLAY AREA
Cathey had previously mentioned to cerk that some items of play equipment is splitting/cracked plastic. We may need to start looking at this although it did not come up in the ROSPA Play Area Inspection earlier in the year.

10. WOODLAND TRUST PLAY AREA REPORT
All still fine. Although the spring on the gate has still not been adjusted – it really needs a latch as its too quick to release back. Amy to speak to Clive.

11. COOPERS WOOD
Update given by Cathy via email as not present:
Thanks to funding we have received we are now offering subsidised forest school places for the 4 and unders. Hopefully ther will be a monthly programme of events. The last activity day was not greatly attended due to it being held on a saturday when there were lots of other kids clubs on. We have arranged our own story telling on weds 25th oct and will hold more family activities events next year

12. CORRESPONDENCE
Various were available to read including thank you letters from the organisations that had been given donations.
