Given below are the minutes of the meeting of the above parish council held in the Communal Room, Cherry Tree, Bridport, on 12th Jul 2016. The meeting commenced at 7.30pm.

PRESENT: Cllr Lathey, Cllr Trott, Cllr Beer, Cllr Wrighton, Cllr Gay, 4 x members of the public. Mrs A Stephenson recorded the minutes

1. APOLOGIES

3. OUTSTANDING DECLARATIONS OF ACCEPTANCE OF OFFICER

Form given to Cllr Gay to sign and return. He also signed the Declaration of Acceptance of Officer Form

4. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING

The Chairman asked if everyone had both received and read the minutes of the last meeting, if so, were they a true record. ALL AGREED that the minutes were a true record. The minutes were duly signed.

5. MATTERS ARISING FROM THOSE MINUTES

None

6. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

Pavements in Cherry Tree need attention due to weeds etc. Clerk to inform Magna

Dog fouling in Cherry Tree – public to please keep an eye out and inform Dog Warden if see who it is.

30mph sign alongside Donkey Lane – hedge overgrown so can barely see sign. Clerk to contact Highways;

Drain in North Allington blocked – clerk to contact Highways

7. DONKEY LANE

Letters had been sent from Dorset County Council to all those that had filled in evidence forms, asking them for any further evidence.

8. FINANCE REPORT

a) Current acct: £100.35,), savings acct: £20,589.72 Suggest £6,000 is transferred from savings account into current account Proposed by Cllr Trott and seconded by Cllr Beer.

b) New pay structure has been approved by SLCC and NALC which means that althought the clerk will remain on the same scale point, she will now be paid £280 per month instead of £277. This is to be back dated to April.

c)The following cheques were authorised by the council: Clerk’s wages (for past month) £279.20 HMRC £9.80, clerks annual homeworking allowance £300, DAPTC subs £271.02, clerk’s wages for August £272.20, HMRC for August £7.80. Cheques signed before the meeting that now need retrospective agreement are: Cowling Agriculture £100 (Cathy’s deposit) Proposed by Cllr Lathey and Seconded by Cllr Gay

9. PLANNING APPLICATIONS

None

10. NOTICEBOARD

West Allington Noticeboard needs replacing as has been discussed at previous meeting. Clerk had obtained a quote from the same company that had made the others so that they would all match, but this one would be a lot smaller. It was Proposed by Cllr Beer and Seconded by Cllr Gay for clerk to order the noticeboard as agreed.

11. NEW POST/FENCE FOR 5 A SIDE AREA

TMH Fencing had been to inspect the fivce a side area fencing and had come up with two options for repair. Councillors agreed that option 2 was the better option and for clerk to now obtain 2 more quotes that related to that option as well as the one from TMH Fencing.

12. NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN

Katie Graham has been employed to push forward the neighbourhood plan. There will be varying stalls at various places over the summer. The plan will be sent out to all parish councils through Nov-Feb.

13. CHERRY TREE PLAY AREA

Don not present, but no-one had heard any reports of any problems.

14. WOODLAND TRUST PLAY AREA REPORT

Cllr Bowditch was not present but Cathy said all appeared to be fine. She then spoke about Coopers Wood – there are two benches at the top of the field, one of which is rotting badly (this is Christine’s bench in memory of Gerald). The other bench was dedicated to the Cooper family – Shirley Cooper is happy to cover cost of repair. Christine seat is not officially meant to be there but she has suggested it should be the responsibility of Allington PC. Council agreed to cover cost if Paul is happy to make/repair/replace.

The tractor will be used for the majority of the hill cut but the larger/longer grass area wont be. Council paid for it before so money has been put aside in the budget to do this again.
